Al Green & Lauryn Hill's lovechild, Backpack Jax, are an international Hip Hop group based in France. Children of political refugees, Boogie Monsta (Iraqi Frenchman) and Mauikai (Cuban American) are 80's babies from opposite sides of the planet who were born and bred on golden era Hip Hop. Their eclectic backgrounds offered up diverse inspirations, including some of music's greats like Stevie Wonder and Jazz legends Miles Davis and Nina Simone.

Paying homage to one their greatest influences from the Jazz world, Nina Simone, the pair have flipped Ms. Simone's classic, "Feeling Good" this week as an exclusive 2nd single, leading up to their October 4th release, "Remember the Future" on Is That Jazz ? Records / Believe Digital.
